I feed my birds BA all the time, they love it. I leave it in there a few hours, actually. I serve it warm and then they are able to eat it when it cools down. My parrotlet actually loves when it is cold so I think he waits until it cools down!! I only give enough to last for a few hours (they wont eat it all at once). I keep the rest in a container in the fridge and heat it up little by little, day by day until its all gone. I love BA - definitely a hit at this house!!

I have a weird question on this one. Does it have to be cooked? I was thinking about during breeding season, when you aren't supposed to feed them warm cooked meals...

Yes it does have to be cooked. It comes as a dried substance (think those "cup o' soup"s with the dehydrated veggies) so they do have to be cooked to become anything. However, I feed the first meal warm because it did just come from being made but all the rest after that I usually serve cold mixed with veggies. The birds really eat it up.
