I think the small for keets and parrotlets are just little pebble like. The medium is small fruit shaped. I would try either, really. Are you talking about the fruit flavored or natural diet? I should have asked that first.

I would get the cockatiel size. That's the size I bought for my lovies.

I think it depends on your bird's preference. What is he used to eating, size-wise?
I used to buy both budgie and tiel size because I have a budgie and a tiel that are roommates, but the tiel would throw all the larger tiel pellets out of the bowl and only eat the budgie size pellets so I just buy budgie size now. The fruity-flavored tiel size does have shapes though, so that would be fun if your bird would enjoy that. The budgie size are just different colored pellets, no shapes. The natural pellets don't have any shapes or colors no matter the size, although I have yet to find a local store that carries natural budgie size. If you have an understanding friend, I suppose you could ask her to bring a bag of each size to try out? ETA: There is also a size smaller than budgie, for canaries, and that would probably be too small unless your bird really prefers small food. The canary pellets are about the size of millet seeds, and I have fed that size when the local store was out of budgie size since my tiel apparently hates to have to chew her food! Paco only likes small pellets, so he eats the cockatiel sized ones. They are about the size of your pinkie fingernail. What size does he eat now?

He eats mostly nutriberries and avicakes, and then some seeds. He mostly eats the smallest seeds in the mix but I don't think that's because of the size. He munches on avicakes and those are rather big for him.
I was thinking about trying both the natural and the fruity type to see if he would eat either of them. It took him a while to start eating the nutriberries, he never touched them but now he gobbles them all up before proceeding to the avicakes

I find the Zupreem fruit pellets are really hard. My conure eats the budgie size. He is only 5 months old though. I tried him with the cockatiel size and he wanted to eat them but he could not break them properly. I can't imagine him eating the "conure" size. they are huge. Your lovie may enjoy the cockatiel size but if he is having trouble eating them, try the budgie size.
Here is a link of an online store in the UK that sells Zupreem pellets Parrot Cages, Toys, Food and more - Widest Range of Parrot Products |

Abbey eats the conure size. She likes to hold them in her talon an munch. You could always get someone over her to ship it to you
