are saskatoons ok to feed to a love bird?

i was just wondering are saskatoon berries ok to feed to a love bird?

Kiwi (male love bird)--------- soon to be a proud dad
Peach CURRENTLY SITTING ON 5 EGGS (Female) Love bird
Blue Berry (female) Budgie-- REHOMED -- mother to 6
Pineapple (Male) Budgie-- REHOMED -- father to 6

Hmmm.. tried to do some research on this subject, as I had no idea what saskatoon berries were! LOL! They only thing I found is that the skin has a laxitive effect for wild birds. So I would say be careful if you feed them. I would still look up some toxic food lists or go onto Feedingfeathers.com They have a list. Sorry I can't help more.

They should be safe - they are similar to blueberries but they can make birds poop really runny so as was suggested above, feed them sparingly.
