monthly bird weigh ins

a very good way to keep an eye on your birds health is to regularly weigh them. Rapid weight change could be a sign of something far more serious. In this thread around the first of every month lets all post our birds weights!

everybody has the winter heavies going on except Benji.....

Benji is 46g

Zoey is 125g

Sophie is 460g

Grace - female WCP: 187g
Petey - male Budgie: 40g
(and that's despite his increased level of exercise. He flies at least 25-30 laps around the kitchen & livingroom every day.)

I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. Go take a look at their scales, they have a large selection. Mine is made by Salter. It's about 10 inches deep and maybe 6 inches wide. I also weight their food with it. Depending on what kind of bird(s) you have, it works well for my ekkie and my U2 but my GW and M2 need a stand to sit on it.
