RoudyBush verses Zupreem?

I just had a new store open up that carries RoudyBush, so I now have the chance to switch. I've heard some very strong opinions about RoudyBush and almost all are positive. On the other hand Zupreem (what he is currently on) has mixed reviews. From what I've gathered, the choices are Harrison's first, then RoudyBush, then Zupreem.

Can someone tell me their experiences with either Zupreem or RoudyBush? It would be great if someone has used both and noticed a difference.

Oh and this is for my Senegal, so what size should I get if I'm going to try RoudyBush? He likes the small parrot/cockatiel size Zupreem pellets (un-colored, the Garden mix). I'm almost certain he'll take to RoudyBush since he is a little hog and eats anything as long as it's been in my hands

I use them both when I use regular pellets. My guys seem to like them equally in their time. I rotate their dry mixes around so they are more willing to eat new foods.

I've used all three.Harrison,Zupreem and Roudybush.Because I have quite a flock it's been difficult. My BFA's refused to eat the Harrison so I had to go back to Zupreem Fruit Parrot and Conure.I'm also feeding the Conure that as well. The Quaker and Cockatiel are eating Zupreem Fruit Parakeet size.My Macaws are eating Roudybush medium. The Senegal,Greys and all the Eclectus except Merlin are eating Roudybush small. So far all the ones that are eating the Roudybush seem to really like it.I guess I will see how long this lasts with them liking all the different foods they are on.

So for your Senegal I would suggest the small.

I just recently asked this same question myself. You can find some answer by viewing the previous thread. For your convenience I listed it below:

It is hard enough to decide on what pellets to feed and then it comes to the sizes. Tommy, cockatiel, got mini Roudybush, was doing great eating them. Along came Molly, Goffin's cockatoo, she liked the small size, had offered her small and medium. Well, Tommy keep going to all of Molly's feeding dishes on playstands and the top of her cage to eat Molly's small size pellets. So I put in two bowls, one mini, one small, for Tommy to eat in his cage. He then only ate the small and would leave the mini. So now they all get small.

As for Roudybush or Zupreem, think it is kind of good to have them eating several types, if something happens and one is not available for what ever reason you have the other. We do Roudybush as the main pellet but also do Zupreem natural. The birds like the Roudybush better, could be it is a harder pellet also.

Harrisons was not like here at the house right away. Gets a little costly trying to get them to try. Molly dunks and they say not to feed to dunkers. We do foraging here, Harrisons says you need to remove after 24 hours, could go bad. Would not want the birds getting sick if I missed pellets in the cage. Harrison also states not to feed other stuff with their pellets, I feed all kinds of things here, so that also put Harrisons out of the picture.

What works for one may not work for another.
Jane

I agree, I add Zupreem and Roudybush together to feed. That solved that issue for me. Iris enjoys and eats them both so, like you said if for any reason I don’t have access to one, he'll still be eating his pellets. I believe a variety is the way to go anyways. Iris gets a variety of everything.

I feed a variety as well. I use Harrisons , Zupreem fruit, and garden goodness, higgins safflower based seed mix, and the myan mix from them as well. they also get a nut and fruit mixture I put together of walnuts, cashews, almonds, banana chips, cranberries and papaya.
that is what is offered in their cages daily. They also get breakfast of fruits in the morning, along with a granola bar, and then a bean pasta veggie dish for dinner.

Sundays they get a scrambled egg for breakfast and spagetti for dinner

Spagetti, with or without the sauce? I have some left over spagetti in my fridge right now. No one is going to eat it. We are tired of spagetti! I never thought to offer it to Iris. Would that be okay?

Thanks.

I guess the general consensus is to give him a mixture of RoudyBush and Zupreem. Getting some today :)

What about Harrison's? I've heard some mixed reviews so is it safe to try?

ohhhhhhh my guys love it with sauce. I tried to get a good picture tonight but Emma wouldnt have any of it. Next time you have it, try it...just make sure its not loaded with onions or sausage. I take that off of their plates.
