Is wood from a Blueberry Bush safe?

I have checked every site on the net with no mention of this wood. I got some really nice wood 2" to 3" in dia. that would make a great hanging perch for the Macaws.
It is wild Blueberry and all twisted like Java wood and it is really hard for those destructive beaks. I was told that it was safe but would like to see something that was a definite on it's use.

Wood from fruit trees is generally safe, except for cherry.
