Puffy Conure

Hi all,
I was at the local chain petstore picking up fishy food, when I went to look at their sun conures. One was really lively and playful... the other was on the side bars of his cage really puffy and just half lidded eyes. He was also nodding his head continously with a wing drooping. They had a sign on his cage that he was currently not for sale and to ask a associate when he would be available. Of course, I found the nearest employee and asked what was wrong with the sc. All they would tell me is that he was about 4 months old, on antibotics, and not contagious. Does that sound right? He was in a (for lack of a better word) room with the other sc, a gcc, cockatiels, and finches. I'm really worried about the little guy... What do you all think?

They should have him seperated & not with the others IMO. Crystal

agree with crystal... he should also be seen by a vet, but tell that to people at stores....

That's what I think too. I'll definitely check on him tomorrow, and see if he's any better. If not, I am going to talk to the manager and ask about their policies on sick birds. Sometimes it's like or you get someone who really cares, but their hands are tied because of the policies.
