AC noise at night

Now thinking ahead for the warmer weather, my AC will kick on and off several times during the night and it is a pretty big in wall unit that will cool most of our place and can be a little loud when it kicks on is that going to be a problem for the bird getting sleep? Will this cause her to stay awake at night?

Also at what point would the AC be to cold for her? I have to ask that because I like it to be pretty cold in the room because my normal body temp is 99.0 degrees, for most people that would be a slight fever and most of my family thinks I am going to spontaneously combust one day.

**I just re-read that last part and it sounds ridiculous but its true :(

you can get an hepa air purifier to combat the noise of the AC coming on.
I dont think there will be any problem with her sleeping. dont really go below the 70's and keep her out of direct draft.

it can be colder than 70 as long as you acclimate her slowley and cover her at night. She can be acclimated down to the 40 deg range! but I dont think you will go THAT cold. She will get used to the noise and it will be second nature just avoid big changes in temps and no drafts. A heavy cover will help.

AC noise won't be a problem and neither will the cooler temps. Birds don't need to sleep in absolute silence, just no TV or music or talking etc.

The only problem would be that AC/Heat really dry out the air so bathe or mist the bird regularly. The dry air can lead to itchy skin which can lead to a picking/plucking habit.

If I read correctly, she is in your bedroom. The rest of the house will not be at the same temp as your room. The reason I suggested not lower than the 70's is because you will be taking her in and out of your room all the time correct?
While they can be acclimated down to lower temps, you want to keep that temp consistant, and not fluctuate too much. If your entire house was reading the same temp, I would be less conserned with the lower temps.

Thanks, she is in the hall area facing into the living room and the ac blows across towards her but I can air the vents in the other direction so there is no chance the cold air blows directly at her. I have a 180 gallon reef tank so I dont think I will have to worry about dry air with all the evaporation from that.
