Safe Air Purifiers

I am looking for some opinions based on experience here. I am looking to buy an air purifier due to the fact that the flock is growing and my allergies/asthma is becoming quite bothersome. I posted a thread about this a couple of weeks ago and I cant find it. I had someone tell me of a couple of Air Purifiers they purchased from Sears that he/she uses and said had no problem with. I have done some research and all of the purifiers at Sears contain teflon coated filters or internal parts. Tell me what kind of air (hepa) air purifiers is everyone using. Would really appreciate the feedback. I am seriously thinking about going with The "Rabbit Air" purifiers. PLEASE HELP ME... I am choking on dust here!

It was probably me that said sears, as I have been using them for over 10 years. no problems. "If" they do contain teflon or teflon products it doesnt get hot to let off fumes. With that said, I havent had any problems....here is the article I prob gave you before.

I LOVEmine!

I got it at Home Depot, and it says Enviracare on it. I'm pretty sure it's by Honeywell. I know lots of folks with birds that have them.

I have a Bionaire that I bought online a few weeks ago and it works fine. I haven't had a problem with it. It's also in the same room as my gcc.

I have a Whirlpool Whispure (ordered online) and a Hunter that I bought at Lowes. I briefly had a Honeywell but returned it because it was too noisy. Listen before you buy if possible, or at least check to make sure they're using some kind of quiet technology. It turned out that the smaller Honeywells used quiet technology and the bigger ones didn't, at least at the time I was shopping.
