Spot on beak? That's new...

Hey everyone, I'd just like to say that I've had my CAG for over a month and a half, and we're a very happy couple. But lately I've been noticing a spot on his beak. I think he might have hurt it, and it's healing... but I'd like to get a second opinion. His vet isn't here, and since he's happy, I thought I'd get your guys's opinions before taking him to a new vet. Well, the first week I had him his beek was 100% black. A few weeks after, I saw it was a little pink on one part... and Now it's white, a bit bigger and I'm honestly worried!
I'll attach these pictures, can anyone let me know if it's something to worry about? I honestly think he hurt himself one day playing or he might have fallen (he's very young, he's NOW 4 months, I got him when he was about 2 and a half months old). He eats a lot of veggies and fruits, and his usual pellets are there 24/7!

Thanks in advance :)

I dont see the spot your referring to. If your indicating the point down from the nostril (or Nare) then that is a normal part of a grey's beak anatomy on both sides.

no no. In the first picture, in the cage you can see there is no white or pink spot right on the bend. After, in the second pictures chewing a white clear plastic cap for a MicroSD card, you can see a little pink / redness. In the last one, you can see it's white on the bend between the tip and the Nare. Any idea...?

Id be willing to bet its something he is rubbing it on. Like when they clean after a meal? Now this may sound funny and Ive not seen it in birds buts its true with dogs, Certain dogs (esp golden retriver) and others with black noses....If they drink out of a polyurithane bowl or bucket (and some other plastics) they will lose the color in the skin of the nose. Yes it is true, and if you switch them to stainless or ceramic or rubber , eventually the color comes back. Does he have a plastic dish to eat from? Or the other may be rubbing it on a pumice or sandy perch or mineral perch??? Watch him closely...
Now my grey did develop a light area on his beak later (about a year) that is gone now but we thought it was because he also has rare white toes on a few tootsies, lol.

He has 3 types of perches. He has a sandy one to file down his nails, which I leave next to his metalic food bowles, it's also next to his water bottle. Since I'm often busy, I don't have time to clean a normal water bowl twice a day, and so they gave me a water bottle like ones you'd give a rabbit, and it works nicely. I just clean it once everyday or every other day.) He also has a java tree when he is out of his cage. I see him rubbing on that quite often on that as when I'm home, he's out in the tree or playing on me or something.

But my real concern is if the matter is problematic or no. If it's just a spot then I'm not worried, but if it's something like an illness, malnutrition, lack of a certain vitamin or something ... I'd get on top of that... OR is it something I can't fix. As I mentioned, first the area was a little pink, and now it's white. I think it might be healing...

Thanks :)

Really? So do you think that it's because he rubbed against something that hurt his beak? Because, as I said, it wasn't there, and about 3 weeks ago, it was pink (as you can see in the picture). Is it just healing? Thanks. :) Kent.

its like hitting your fingernail just hard enough to create a white spot but not hard enough to create a blood blister.

it will go away sooner or later and its no big deal(it wont hurt your bird)

looks like he may have bumped it on something
