I know it's late, but here is what I did.
First, freeze all bird foods in airtight containers, take out what you need for the day only until the problem is under control. Throw out any cereal, flour, etc that is not sealed, buy new and seal in airtight containers. Throw out any dried flowers or potpourri type things. My mom had a jar of rose petals they found facinating! Wash all clothing and blankets. The moths will lay their eggs on these and the larve will eat holes in your clothes. Vaccuum daily! Take each cage out once a week and steam clean or pressure wash. The moths will lay eggs in the corners of the cage under the tray, I still haven't figured out how they got there. At night, turn off all the lights and have either the TV or computer on. They will come towards the light. Then it is time for hand eye coordination!! The sticky traps are great. I keep one near the cages, one behind the TV, the heat emitted makes the pheramone stronger and they flock to it. After all the moths are gone it isn't time to be lax, keep replacing the traps, even trusted sources like bulk human foods will bring them in. My last infestation came from a bag of seed from Petco years ago. I gave up on bagged seed at that point. I buy mine in bulk from a trusted source, and still freeze for 3 days before it comes inside. Millet goes in the deep freeze for the same ammount of time.
