Well, I took him to the avian vet today and everything checked out well. The vet said he was in great health and his stool sample came back negative. We decided to hold off on the bloodwork as the wing clipping, and whole ordeal of him being missing has stressed him a lot.

I am picking up a mate for him tomorrow and will keep her in quarantine for at least 45 days. Now is it completely necessary to keep the new bird in quarantine if none of the breeder's birds have ever been sick, and if the new bird has been in good health over the past two months? Is it okay if they can see each other, or do they have to be in completely different areas of the house? I want them to be able to at least hear each other so that when they finally do meet, they will be somewhat familiar.
