Hi All, We have just moved to a new home where even at this time of year (winter in Sydney, AUS) there seem to be active mosquitos. Unfortunately I am quite allergic to mosquito bites so I'm expecting the warmer months to require some kind of skin repellent for me and spray for the house. Do you know of anything safe that wont harm my little peach face lovebird Peanut ?
Also, the new house has a garden which attracts lorikeets, cockatoos, minor birds and magpies. Peanut is very excited to hear them and so we had been opening a curtain for him to sit on the sill and look out. This was fine until a bird flew past and scared him. He took off, did a lap of the room, then tried to fly through the window after the other bird. No breaks, a week of liquid antibiotics and he's all better, but I don't want that to happen again. How can we arrange it so that he can enjoy the other birds in a safe way ? Can he be taught not to fly at glass ? Would it be safe to put his cage outside ? Thanks in advance guys
