Herbal aloe force?

ANy one know of this product and use this for themself or their birds/pets??>

It's a human product of course, and I hear good things about it, but am unsure about the herbs in it.

Any one have a complete list of herbs that can be used and cannot for birds?

Here's whats in it..... from the site.....

The Herbs Contained in Herbal Aloe Force®

Cats Claw (uña de gato)
This herb is derived from the inner bark, the optimum form of the Uncaria Tomentosa plant, indigenous to the Peruvian rain forests. It has been used for centuries in South America for everything in need of miraculous immune enhancement. It contains compounds known as oxindole alkaloids which have been shown to have a wide variety of properties.
Isopteropodine (Isomer A), found to be the most effective on the immune system.
Isomer A has been shown in laboratory testing to have a pronounced enhancement effect on phagocytosis (the ability of the white blood cells and macrophages to attack, engulf, and digest harmful micro-organisms, foreign matter, and debris). Studies on Cat's Claw being conducted all over the world have identified many beneficial isolated constituents, and like Aloe, several of these have received pharmaceutical patents.
The "Essiac" herbs, also known as "Caisse's Tea"
(Sheep Sorrel, Burdock Root, Slippery Elm Bark, Rhubarb Root): "Essiac" is widely known for its use with cancer by native Canadians who gave the formula to a nurse, René Caisse. She collected 55,000 written testimonials from those witnessing the many benefits of these herbs with their oxygenating properties for cancer, viruses, severe allergies, asthma, ulcers, general digestion and overall immune system improvement.

Astragalus
Chinese herb used for centuries for a wide variety of ailments including diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Recent studies in Chinese medical journals suggest it may help activate the immune system, may prevent the spread of cancer cells to healthy tissue, and is routinely given to those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.

Pau d'Arco
Known as a natural antibacterial agent, blood cleanser and immune enhancer. Known for its use against all types of infection and used for centuries in South America for cancer.

Hawthorn Berry
Known as a heart tonic for its enhancement of the circulatory system (heart muscle, blood vessel dilation, balancing cholesterol)

Chamomile
Known and widely used medicinally in Europe with reports of its antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and soothing and calming effects. Also known for its use as a digestive and irritable bowel aid.

Herbal Aloe Force® Skin Gel also includes:
Green Tea: known for its potent antioxidant properties.
Hyaluronic Acid: for enhanced moisturizing.

Unique Pure Aloe-Herbal Extraction Process
No Alcohol, No Heat, or Harsh Solvents are ever used.
The Aloe itself is used as the extracting agent, thus incorporating the herbs directly into the Aloe Vera. (Other herbal juice products simply add herbal extracts).

Pure, Potent, Safe and Effective herbal extraction and herbal delivery system. The penetrating aloe draws itself with the herbs into cells throughout the body like no other substance known. ©

Essiac is promoted solely as a cancer treatment and it's worse than useless for that purpose. Even Andrew Weil recommends that you stay away from it. Can Essiac Tea Control Cancer?

INteresting read....

thanks for posting that.
ALtho I do have to wonder and definatley take with a grain of salt, people who self promote, and have websites selling stuff....

Cure cancer?.. I don't know, but I do and have successfully used several of the herbs included in this with good results.

still looking for a list.... I found one earlier, but it's not very extensive here are the No NO's

HERBAL PRODUCTS TO AVOID

BORAGE--Contains toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids

CALAMUS--Indian type most toxic

CHAPPARAL--Can induce severe liver toxicity

COLSTFOOT--Contains carcinogenic alkaloids

COMFREY--Contains toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids

EPHEDRA or MA HUANG--Can cause dangerous increase in heart rate and blood pressure

GERMANDER--Can cause liver toxicity

LICORICE--Can cause sodium and water retention and potassium depletion

MA HUANG--Has caused heart attacks, seizures, psychotic episodes and death in humans

LIFE ROOT--Can cause liver toxicity

LOBELIA-- Also called Indian tobacco, can lead to vomiting, convulsions, coma and death

PENNYROYAL--The oil is highly toxic to the liver and interferes with blood clotting

POKEROOT--May be fatal

SASSAFRASS--Ineffective and carcinogenic

YOHIMBE: I have received several inquiries about the possible use of Yohimbe bark (and other herbs) as aphrodisiacs for non-producing mature parrots set up for breeding. Yohimbine is on the USFDA unsafe herb list of March 1977 and there is no proof of effectiveness in animal or human studies. Furthermore, it is a powerful drug which causes dilation of blood vessel in animals and humans. It can cause weakness, paralysis, gastrointestinal problems and even psychosis in humans. Experimentation using this herb with parrots could cause death, and at best is ineffective for the intended aphrodisiac effect.

ooo, please post, it will be interesting to see the difference between yours and what is available online!

While this stuff SAYS "essiac herbs" it lists them as astragalus, pau d' arco, chamomile, cats claw, and hawthorne berry........ I don't see specifically "indian" rhubarb, but the second to last ingrediant is just Rhubarb extract... wonder if thats the same???

I hear good things about Pau D' arco in birds, I have used it for myself and other mammals with INCREDIBLE sucess!!!!!

Very interesting reading, especially about licorice being a sodium and water retainer, and also depletes potassium levels. I could live on licorice and chew on licorice root/seeds for stomach upsets.

Hmm, OH yes it includes all those too, thats weird tho.. under the "Essiac" ingrediantys it only lists the others...????

Licorice..... I think for people anyway..... most things in moderation are fine... do you think your experienceing adverse reactions to it?

I DO know that not all herbs work the same for every one, for instance, my mom used a Kava Kava tea once and she said she had al allergic reaction to it... I myself have trouble with Valerian root....
