I wouldn't use any chemical cleaner around birds - that includes Mr. Clean, Pinesol, etc., etc. We have all tile floors and they are mopped with white vinegar and water, works fine and is completely non-toxic.

I agree, you should not use that around birds. They are super sensitive. And vinegar does clean well. It's also is a disinfectant.

Oh lemon juice would work well, good tip. I love the cleaners because they smell good when you are cleaning but I don't use any small anymore. I gave up a long time ago when I got Chiquita. I sure do miss the cleaners and candles. Oh well, bird safety is #1!!!!

We use one of those cheap Shark steam mops... No chemical smell and it works wonders on bird poop...
We have hardwood and tile floors throughout most of the house and wouldn't use anything else now... I wonder why we need houses smelling like fake lemon or fake pine... My wife and I just put a few flowers in a vase if, for some reason, we feel like we need to make the house nice smelling... |
