New find, Starfrit eco-chef pans, does anybody use these?
I posted a thread about the "green pans" but I found out they are only available in the UK. I did some online searching and came across this pan which is available at my local Canadian Tire. I just wanted to make sure its safe first.
Its the new Eco-chef line by Starfrit. It is enamel coated and is said to work similar to nonstick without the teflon. Here is a link to the pan. Has anyone used them and would they be safe and durable. Thanks again Amanda Starfrit Eco-Chef Non-stick Ceramic Frypan, 26 cm | Canadian Tire Eco-friendly frypan with chemical-free and non-toxic cooking surface * Made of 99% recycled aluminum * Heavy 2.7 mm gauge body for efficient heat distribution * Ceramic nonstick system for healthier cooking and easy clean-up * Durable bamboo handle |

I have my eye on that one, however I noticed it in comes in 10" at my local store and I like the chicken fryer size for making tuna helper, my kid's favorite lol. I also found the Earthchef line at Zellers. Its $50 for a nice 12" pan and lid. The set is $300 so I will probably just get the one pan :) I will post the link with all the pans they have available
Earthchef is an earth-friendly product line for the kitchen. Amanda |
