Wait a minute ... Pop?

Okay, I've only recently noticed this and it worrys me. Occationally, when Angel moves (i.e. climbing around the cage on bars or stretching) she makes a 'pop' noise. It's a horrific noise and I suspect it's something bone or joint related simply by the sound. She has crashed in-flight a few times when out of the cage, but has always made a good landing and has always seemed fine afterwards (if a bit 'Wait, how'd I get here?'), and I've always picked her up and made sure she was okay before returning her to a perch or in the cage.

She's eating fine, she's moving about, she comes down for scritches, she bathes (and fights with Bonnie over the bath), she eats her veggies, she preens and sleeps, she poops, she's otherwise fine (she's not an egg-layer) but this popping gets to me

I don't have very much money for vet bills but quite frankly, if my bird is sick I want her at the vets. Does anyone here have any idea what this 'pop' could be? I know birds are good at hiding illness but she's a master if this is something broken or dislocated! It's been an age since she was out the cage and had an accident!

I would take her to the vets and get it checked out.
Also if you do not have much money for vets fees, get some insurance now.
If you have a good relationship with your vets do ask about making a couple of smaller payments/installments.

I hope it is nothing serious, and you have been to the vets already by now.
Air sacs can also make popping noises if there is something wrong.
Of course it is hard to understand how loud/bad etc it is just typing.

I hope it is nothing too serious
Good Luck

My cockatiel pops when I hold him sometimes, which is normal, but not when he's simply climbing around? :S Hmmm... I'd call a vet and see what they think.
