Talking Bird Insurance?

Hello all! I'm thinking of getting pet insurance as a back-up plan for my birds. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good pet insurance company that covers birds?

There's a lot of good pet insurance places out there. Here's some links for you, these are ones that I know carry birds as well:

Bird Insurance

Information on Bird Insurance

It actually was kind of hard for me to find bird insurance, but I know it exists out there. Considering what we spend on our birds, itd be a great idea for any bird owner.

I have dog insurance with VPI. It is pretty good and they make it easy to file a claim and I have never had a problem with them.

My avian vet also recommends VPI Pet Insurance. Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) - Dog Insurance, Cat Insurance, Pet Health Insurance or 1-866-VET-PETS

For UK members you will not find a better company than GOLDEN VALLEY. Very reasonable, particularly if you choose a low purchase price (i.e the amount you'd receive should your bird be stolen or die).

My birds are insured for a value of £200 each which has really kept the premium low. A pay out should they die would be the very last thing on my mind, I'd far rather have low premiums.

I pay about £132 a year IN TOTAL for all three Greys.

Low excess, just £12 per claim, few exclusions, absolutely no quibble pay-outs and speedy too. Most UK bird keepers use Golden Valley.
