HELP !!!!!! Southern Cal.

I'm cross posting this from another site. Please feel free to pass it on.

The Lily Sanctuary in Orange County, Southern California, has been very fortunate to gain the respect and trust of many bird clubs, veterinarians, public and private rescues, governmental agencies, etc.

We presently have way too many birds---over 50 at last count and mostly all large birds. Although we have some 25 volunteers, keeping this many birds in near-clinic like conditions, each bird in its own high-quality indoor cage, plus 15 zoo-quality aviaries where they all get to go outside and play everyday, is putting us in a position to have to turn down those parrots that are in the greatest need for our services.

We desperately need good adopting homes, foster homes, and volunteers. The Lily Sanctuary does not charge for any of its services----intakes or adoptions----nor does it sell any bird or other animal products in conjunction with our sanctuary and re-homing activities. One hundred percent of all monies received through donations and fundraisers, goes to providing the best of care for our birds.

We know there are so many "good" homes out there, but we don't know where they are and they don't know about us. We ask everyone to please help us continue to provide a safe haven for the many very needy parrots by volunteering and/or finding good homes. We have just about every species available and, of course, a lot of Cockatoos like every other rescue and sanctuary in the country. We do restrict our adoptions to those homes in the Southern California area.

To the many of you who cross-post these messages, we ask that you pass this along to every parrot site you can. And thank you all for your very kind support and donations in the past. We are indeed grateful and you are always welcome to visit us when in our area.

Our many thanks,

Dan & Venette Hill

I Live in Yorba Linda. I can't be much financial help but I could help foster maybe or help you out with the care/cleaning/socializing of the birds. I live in apartment so probably most larger birds would be out.
I work at Petsmart and we have adoption events maybe you could participate in them? PM me if you are interested.
