Lost in Sanford Maine

Lost June 20 my daughter's pet cockatiel. He is pied color, orange cheek patches, primarily yellow, with some white and a little grey and loves to whistle. Fully flighted. We live near the Midtown Mall in Sanford and he was last seen heading towards number one pond. He is friendly and is likely to just fly down and land on or near someone. We can't afford a reward except for eternal gratitude.

She is 13 and has had him for 6 years. I've posted flyers, notified the police and posted everywhere I can think of on the net. Unfortuantely we lost another bird this way about 4 years ago so I've been this route before but any suggestions are welcome.

Any help would be appreciated. He answers to the name Yugi or Yukolis
(like the Red Sox player).

He loves lettuce and his slice of daily bread and of course head skritches. He is not banded.

I would also suggest informing the human society and pets stores of the situation. Someone may take it there not knowing where else to go.

Hopefully it has a safe return.

also contact your local animal control and wild bird rescues. I do rescue in Florida. The Humane Society, Animal Control and our local wild rescue all send lost birds to us and people looking for their lost birds. A lot of times people bring found parrots to wild bird rescues.
