Multiple birds needing placment- Baltimore Area

Hi all- I got this email form a club member that is a breeder but takes in birds. Contact me for information regarding getting in touch with them. Thanks!

"We have several rescues needing homes. We are currently have too many
rescues and need to place this little guys.

Female Latino Ringneck
Masked Conure (sex unknown) Says "Hello"
Female Quaker (age about 14yrs) Zazu is a sweetie but plucks a little
around her neck at breeding time. Likes to sit on your shoulder and preen
your ears. We have had her about 2 years and soon after we got her she fell off her cage and broke her leg due to previous seed diet. Dr. Zantop fixed her up and she is ok. She is eating pellets and veggies now! Zazu talks a little.
Brother Quakers been together since birth and due to cage space are
still together. They are about 4 -5 years.

These birds are rescues, they are FREE to loving homes! (Only the
brother Quakers came with a cage so a new family would need a cage)
Give us a call if anyone is interested (sometimes I don't get to my
email every day). Nancy & Russ Eicks (phone # deleted)"

Another call for 4 budgies

This guy just called me- his fiance knows of a man that planned to release his four budgies. They are trying to get the birds and get them to a rescue. I told them I would take them here and transport them to wherever is needed. The birds live near my friend Katie and maybe she can pick them up. If not, they are willing to bring them to my house which is near where the nice guy works. He lives near my church so either way, I can take them if we get them from the owner. Then, just either need to find a home or take them to the rescue north of here.

Some of y'all crack me up ......... as that is Lutino not "Latino" - unless your Ringneck maybe speaks Spanish.

Now Moderators & Admin. - please don't give me infraction points!!

Infraction points? Hmmmm....sounds familiar

I have a "Latino" severe who understands spanish as his previous owner spoke spanish. If I say "In Sue Casa"---he goes right in his cage!

Lutino or Latino---if it has feathers and wings----Gotta love 'em!

Speaking of Lutinos!!!!

Just got another call about two Lutino cockatiels that need a home. April 10, 2007. Older birds, the woman took them in in 1999 when the original owner passed away. Placing them due to her health issues, just had neck surgery. Have had annual exams at a good local vet. Female does lay and has the typical Lutino bald patch on her head. Owner is willing to get exam for new owner's peace of mind. Email me if interested jan_sharik_baker@yahoo.com Baltimore area.

As for that original post way back, was a copy/paste from the owner and original email person calling their bird a "Latino"- I just didn't correct it- got a chuckle myself. LOL!
