Sponsor a Baby !

There are still lots of birds at TGF that need a sponsor. A sponsorship can be for whatever you can afford.

How sponsorship works:

When you sponsor a bird from TGF, you can make a one time donation, sponsor a bird for a month, a year, or whatever your choose by using a credit card to make an deduction made automatically. TGF won't turn any amount down if all you can afford is $10.00 a month, no amount will be turned down. All sponsorship money goes toward the care of birds in need at the Foundation's Aviary and Adoption Center. If something were to come up with the particular bird you are sponsoring, then your sponsorship money is designated to your bird. I will provide updates & pics (if possible) on your birds.

If you've always wanted that U2 or Macaw or HY but can't get one, well now you can help and be a sponsor mommy or daddy to the bird of your dreams without having to clean a cage....lol.

I really don't like to "ask" for money from anyone, so let's just say I am putting out the information for you to make your own decision.

There are a few people on here already sponsoring birds, so if they want to tell everybody how easy & satifying & fun it is, please do.

If interested please contact The Gabriel Foundation®. TGF's site has new additions daily. Go to the drop down, "Ways You Can Help" and click on the Sponsor a Bird in Need form. If you would like to help sponsor a bird, you can also contact me for more info, or direct your inquiry right to TGF:

Any questions, please just ask me, THANK YOU ! - Gayla

Here are some of the birds that really need your help.

Kai is a male Umbrella Cockatoo hatched in July of 1993. He came to us upon the death of his owner. Kai has a history of being agressive possibly due to lack of attention and socialization so it is imperative that he goes to an experienced cockatoo owner. He does seem to prefer women over men.

Tango is a stunningly beautiful 10 year old Blue & Gold Macaw. He is a very comical bird that truly desires human interaction. He was relinquished because his owner no longer had time for him due to a new job and she felt that Tango was unhappy. Her wish is for him to go to a home where the family has plenty of time to spend with him

Arthur is a male Blue & Gold Macaw hatched in March of 1988. Arthur won't be winning any beauty contests but you couldn't find a sweeter, more gentle macaw. He loves to have his head scratched and his face gently caressed and kissed. So if you can look past outward appearances and see the beauty within, Arthur may be for you.

Kermit is a 12 year old, male, Double Yellow Headed Amazon that kind of keeps to himself. He had been the only bird in a household for 9 years and then his owner's job changed to include lots of travel and time away from home. Kermit has been with us for 3 years and has made friends with other birds. He plays well and really enjoys the time outside in the flight

DJ is a nice little male Quaker Parakeet, hatched in December of 1983 and owned by a single owner. He came to The Gabriel Foundation after his 93 year old owner died. He was very loved by his owner and was allowed to fly around her home and share her dinner with her off of her plate. The family feels that the loss of DJ's owner has been traumatic for DJ. With a little bit of time we think that DJ would warm up to someone new.

Billy is a handsome male Indian Ringneck Parakeet of an unknown age (leg band has the year 1992). We don’t know much about Billy. He was found outside and brought to TGF by a Good Samaritan. Billy is a gentle bird that obviously was well handled at one time. He has a healthy appetite and is not a picky eater. We believe that with some time Billy will most likely open up and come to enjoy human companionship again

Tank is a male peachface lovebird (with 2 dark factors) of an unknown age although his band has the year ’05 on it so he might be 2 years old. He was named “Tank” by the aviary staff due to his unusual army green color. We know nothing about his history. Tank was found loose in downtown Denver and we have been unable to reunite him with his owner. He is a VERY energetic player and very fun to watch. He is shy of hands, but is comfortable with human presence so he has the potential to be hand tamed if someone is willing to work with him. He will play with your hair and nose through the bars as long as you keep your hands away from the cage.

Treasure is an extremely intelligent and active Bare-Eyed Cockatoo and will be 7 years old in May of 2008. He is food motivated and responds very well to positive reinforcement training. He is also a good talker. Treasure would do best with someone that had previous cockatoo experience and can provide him with lots of exercise

Sylas is a nice Mitred Conure in beautiful feather. Sylas is a social bird that enjoys head scratches and the company of humans. He was taken in by a good Samaritan who didn’t want to see him go into a bad situation and then transferred to The Gabriel Foundation. Sylas would do well with an experienced bird/Conure owner that is familiar with their idiosyncrasies and noi

The Gabriel Foundation doesn't have any non weaned baby's, I don't think they have any baby's either. TGF is a rescue, not a breeder. If you are looking for a baby, I would suggest looking for a reliable breeder in your area.

Or maybe someone on here would be able to help you.
