wanting to adopt in WV

Can someone tell me if there are any rescues close to me in WV? All the ones I have found are quite a distance away and they won't adopt unless you live close by.
Ms Smurfy I would love to talk to you to see if you can help me with this.

Were do you live in WV. I live in ripley and I have found all my rescues at ALan's pet shop. I can give you the # if this is close to you. I can't take in anymore so I had to tell him. Also there is a bird santuary in Parkersburg but they are really strict. After reading their qualifacations I didn't even contact them. Also you might look into foster parenting birds. But I decided that I could not do that as I fall in love with birds too easy and would never want to give them back.
At Alan's pet and grooming I have found my lutino tiel (Popper) my pied tiel (Pepper) And my Quaker (Peewee) All of them have turned out to be wonderful loving birds. I think they know when you are giving them a second chance and love you even more.
I think it is wonderful that you want to take in strays. Most of them are just abandoned. I have a soft spot in my heart for the ones that have been rescued or have a handicap of some sort.

I saw the rescue in Parkersburg too. She is very strict. I decided not to go to her because she will only let you be a foster until a certain length of time - then she will let you adopt. I am just like you - I know I would fall in love too.
