Lost Congo African Grey

I lost my African Grey yesterday April 7, 2007 and Augusta is fully flighted... She managed to squeeze through a small opening in the bird flight ... She is our pet and talks, mimics and loves to imitate the wild birds... She has no band as it was removed when a chick..
I live in Milton Florida 32570.. She is a small female and knows her name... We are heartbroken... Milton is close to Pensacola and Gulf Breeze in the Panhandle area...
I had two Greys stolen in 2002 and I did all the suggested "ways to find" but unfortunately they were never recovered... I'd like to think my Augusta will be reunited with us again...
Prayers requested and TY
Etta Smith

Im so sorry to hear this, Etta.

I too am in Florida and lost my african grey timneh 3 weeks ago. Make sure you place ads in the local papers (many allow free ads for lost pets).

Please make sure to go to the local animal control and put your birds information in there. They only keep birds for 7 days after they are found and vet checked before putting them up for adoption.

http://www.911parrotalert.com also has a HUGE database of lost & found birds (I saw your lost ad there). If a bird is found and someone posts it somewhere most likely it will end up in that database.

Unfortunately our Animal Control has no facilities for Birds and I have asked to be called or to call my vet..
Good luck in finding your TAG... It is heartwrenching!

Ah make sure to look at petharbor.com too.

it is a little time consuming to search, but they have LOTS of birdies taken in.
