Need Help Finding New Homes in NJ

Hi to all...

I have a Goffin (I think female) and a TAG (I know male) both around 8 years old that I need to find new homes for. I am located in central NJ and will be shortly moving into a Townhouse where the beautiful sound of my birds screaming wont be tolerated. I thought someone would be able to point me in the right direction to find a safe good home. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

George

I understand you feel that the birds wouldn't do in the townhouse, but I live in a townhouse with 8 lovebirds who can be loud. You can put cork or bamboo or other sound-decreasing stuff on the wall and also put rugs down on the floor. Also get to know the other people who live near you and see what they are like. Maybe they can live with a bird outside if you take them out in the summer. If you don't take them out, then it is easy to sound-proof the inside. Or if one bird is quieter than the other, just re-home the other bird and keep the quieter one. Just a thought....

Hi George.

Drop me a pm with your info and I will see what I can do if you choose to find them homes. Alot of times the new townhomes are pretty well insulated...and the noise doenst travel. my girlfriend is in one with two greys and a macaw!

i am in southern jersey, but know lots throughout the state.

I agree, give them some more toys especially the Goffin, they love rope swings and they need to chew. That would greatly cut down on noise, boredom. Making toys is so easy and not that expensive, if you need any links or ideas, Id be happy to help you out. Sounds like you care, and try and see if you could keep them.

I have a Timneh and he is the quietest parrot I have, never screams and when he talks he mumbles in a low voice.

There is Wings of Hope, which is an adoption/rescue organization. They can probably work with you. They may be able to find a new home, while you hold on to your birds. I think the website is wingsofhope.com. Good luck in finding a home

I'm trying to find the date when you posted. I know of someone in New Jersey who may be very interested in taking in your birds. I only know her through the internet, but she's located in New Jersey and would love your birds.
