Macaw wanted for personal bird and I also run a parrot rescuein Mio M.I.

I have a catalina macaw who desperately wants a friend. I don't breed so I don't care if it is male or female.I don't care if it is a hybrid or what type it is as long as it is a full size macaw and healthy. It doesn't have to be tame as I also do parrot rescue and rehab.A retired breeder or a handicapped macaw would be fine or even a bird with behavior problems.COCO just wants a companion of her own kind more or less.I don't pay adoption fees because I rescue. No scams. This is for permanent placement in my home. contact lawrencematty@hotmail.com
Also I take in your unwanted birds in Michigan or if willing to meet.I can do out of state for larger birds as long as it is still U.S. NO SHIPPING OR SCAMS,Free only,I don't pay for rescues, but I will make sure they have a great home where they will be spoiled rotten.I have lots of pre aproved homes waiting for the tamer ones and I rehabilitate if possible and rehome others.O therwise we provide sanctuary.Screamers,Biters,Retired breeders,Handicapped, any kind of problem bird is no problem for me.
Are you facing foreclosure, illness, divorce,a move, death in the family or other life change that will cause you to have to find your bird or someone else’s a new home? Then this is the place for you.I'm not here to judge you or make you feel guilty for rehoming your pet,I am just here to help your bird.

People who do bird rescues usually dont sollicitate their services with conditions. You are trying to obtain a companion macaw but are not willing to pay a rehoming fee because you claim you are a rescue / rehab. I am not trying to beat up on you but you must sit back and read your post and tell me how it sounds to you. You are asking anyone to donate a large species macaw to you with no charge so your already companion pet can have a friend but you are not willing to pay a rehoming fee. If you are a rescue / rehab facility you certainly should be familiar with the fact that caring for such large parrots are no easy, cheap feat. My feeling is if you are unwilling to pay a rehoming fee then why should one anticipate that you could actually afford caring for such a large bird. The only birds you are claiming to accept out of state are larger (more expensive) birds. Just comes across kinda fishy. Your Catalina is feeling the Spring fever, it will pass. I dont understand why you would place a previous breeder bird or a bird with any type of behavioral problems with your companion pet. Thats an awful large donation you are asking for. I am sure there are tons of people on this site that would love to have a free Macaw... for whatever claim or reason.

matty1967 We hare at BB do not encourage or allow soliciting for free birds for various reasons to protect our community from bird hoarders, breeders and people using false pretenses to acquire birds via our community. I am not saying you are doing so but this is just a protection measure for our community. There are various organizations that may be able to help you however you will be required to pass their rescue guidelines and pay a fee for the FID I am going to close this thread to keep this from going any further.
