Thinking about re homing my sun

This has been a long time coming, well about 9 months to be exact. I had a baby about 9 1/2 months ago and my sun hates her. I have given it a while, interviewed people to take him but when the time came I couldn't do it. He just hates anyone but me and my son. I had a lady who wanted him come visit several times but he wouldn't let her come near him and if I picked him up he would bite me if she came near. If she reached out to him he would hiss and try to bite her. I am kind of at my wits end though and my husband thinks it would be better for everyone if I found a home where he would get more attention (with no small children). I just need someone really patient and loving who understands that it may take a while for him to warm up to them. I live in the Augusta, GA area but will be traveling to the atlanta area in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately if I do take him to Atl. I probably will not be able to fit his rather large cage in my car with the kids and everything. Please let me know if there is anyone interested in loving my sun conure.
Specifics: He is about 3 years old, I have had him since he was weaned and I have not had "him" sexed so I really don't know. He had a checkup about a year ago and is in great health. He is really beautiful and sweet (to me), is not overly screetchy for a sun and does not talk.

If you don't find a home I would be glad to take him. I live right outside Athens, only about an hour or so from Augusta. Lived there for 10 years and still miss it.

yes lil mama you could not find a better home than donna kris and she takes care of her birds . we all are family and we need to come together and find homes for all the fids being re homed . thanks to donnakris for coming to the rescue .

Thank you so much. I do love my fids. They are the center of my world. I can't imagine not having them here. Even though my daughter calls me "the crazy bird lady" now.

I too would be willing to adopt him as well...I'm about 2 hrs away from Augusta...my first bird was a Sun. :(
