Birds For Adoption And/Or Sponsorship
Hi there!
This is just a little reminder that our rescue is always looking for possible new homes and/or sponsorship for our precious birds! We are willing to do whatever it takes to find the right home for our birds and realize that some of these birds were meant to be find their people in another state, with families who are not local. We have a handful of rescues that were meant to stay at our rescue for one reason or another - because they have complicated health issues or because they are very emotionally complicated and not fit for adoption. We can always use as much help with these birds as possible, because each of our birds deserves to be spoiled as if they were an only child and we would not have it any other way. If you do not support us, please consider supporting another rescue or facility in your area. I am always telling our community in New Mexico that we are here to serve their needs but without them we could not do the work that we do. Right now we are looking for new homes for: Greenwing macaws, Ronnie & Sadie ![]() Greenwing macaw, Rain ![]() Military Macaw, Popeye ![]() Yellow Collared Macaw, Ziggy (no photo yet) White Fronted Amazon, BB ![]() Mexican Red Headed Amazon, Unknown (no photo yet) Citron Cockatoo, Pistachio ![]() Cockatiels, Rio & Roxie (no photo available) We are always looking for sponsors for: Double Yellow Headed Amazon, Loretta 45 years old, rescued from a hoarding situation where her owner promised to give her to us as long as we kept her and took care of medical expenses. (Special needs include cushioning to wrap her perch to help with arthritis, Toys with thin bits of wood to chew) ![]() Triton Cockatoo, Benny BatToo BatToo was given to us along with 3 other birds as a temp foster situation. when the owner came back for her birds, she decided to leave BatToo behind. Together we decided that BatToo would be difficult to place because of his unpredictable nature and his owner decided it would be best for him to stay with us permanently. (Special needs includes ANY KIND of toy. Foot toys for play inside. "boings" or rope perches which must be replaced frequently. This guy also adores treats!) ![]() Bare Eyed Cockatoo, Benny Boy Benny was rescued from a hoarder. He was plucked and dirty. We decided to keep him long term to work on his plucking issues and severe phobia of the world around him. Several years later Benny is fully feathered and has gained a great deal of confidence. We feel that rehoming him would absolutely crush the progress he has made and that he could not be happier anywhere else on earth. (Needs include any type of toy - he loves the shreddable kind made from palm leaves or any other type of toy that will keep him from plucking himself. Forgaing toys would be a favorite. Also rope perches or "boings.") ![]() Umbrella Cockatoo, Bhodi Bhodi is the most challenging parrot we have ever worked with. Bhodi was given to us after giving his previous owner stitches twice in the same month. He had been rehomed 4-5 times in several years and he was screaming 24/7. Bhodi has settled down quite a bit but is still a very complex creature. We are planning to build an indoor enclosure for Bhodi where he will eventually be able to live with other umbrella cockatoos who are like him. We are not rehoming Bhodi because we feel that he is absolutely not suitable as a companion parrot. (Bhodi special needs include MASSIVE wood toys to chew. He goes through these so quickly that we cannot keep him stocked and he has started plucking his legs when he does not have a toy. This is a desperate need. We are also looking for anyone interested in sponsoring our building project for Bhodi's new home.) ![]() General needs include: Toys, large and small, walnuts, almonds, pistachios, seed, pellets, dried fruits and other treats, spray bottles, & dollars for vet care. Thank you for considering one of our birds for your future. Every bird who comes through our home is loved and treated like one of the flock. Like our own flock, we become attached to them and could not see anything but the very best for their future. As always, please do research before you decide to support an organization so that you are sure that what you are supporting is really for the good of these parrots! Thanks! -Anna

I am absolutely in love with BB and Rain!!!!!! All the birds are beautiful, and I my heart leaps for little Pistachio. I know you had mentioned something about out of town adoptions...do you have a website with all the info about that?
