April 5-05 Family had Motorhome stolen - Moluccan cockatoo & Sun Conure are missing
Two pet exotic birds are still missing. A family from California were in Toronto, Ontario on vacation and thieves stole everything they had, including an 11-year-old male Himalayan, and Chloe, a 9-year-old female white Persian, a hamster and the two darling pet birds. This occurred two days ago on April 5 at 1:50 pm.
Jess, a male Moluccan cockatoo; approx 3 years old; cockatoo is easily identifiable by a missing tail. Described as "loud" 38-centimetre 15-inch-tall.
Colour: white and peach with orange underfeathers.
Kiki, a sun conure is also missing. An orange-and-yellow sun conure parrot about 15 centimetres tall. Age: 3 years old.
Both birds last seen in an RV motorhome parked in Yorkdale shopping mall parking lot in Toronto, Ontario.
The good news is that an off duty police officer spotted the RV on the Highway 401 and police were able to box in the driver, arresting a 19 year old from Quebec on April 7th. Police recovered the two cats and hamster, however the two birds are still missing. If anyone has any information, please contact the Metro Toronto Police 32 Division at 416-808-3200 or to give an anonymous tip to the Crime Stoppers tips line where you don't have to give your name or identiy call 416-222-TIPS.
I put up this message in hopes that someone might be purchasing one of these birds or come across those two birds outside.
