Two Macaws in Southern CA Need Loving Homes

One of my friends found this on another board and snagged it before it got deleted. I told her I would see what I could do.

"I have found myself in the most unfortunate of circumstances that calls for me having to re-home my 2 macaws. I used to post here about a year ago and have posted pics of both of my birds. I have a 5 year old B&G and a year and a half old harlequin. They are both male and in great health with all vet records. My personal situation ( divorce, unemployment, etc ) is forcing me to make this decision. That being said, my primary interest is to find each of them a loving home. I am located in Southern California and I greatly appreciate any help that I can get making this transition as painless as possible for the birds. As for me, parting with them will hurt forever and the only peace that I will get is from knowing that they are in a good home, loved and cared for. I have day and night cages for each and tons of toys. Thanks."

Let me know if you are interested. I'll screen people for him and can provide his e-mail address.

Question

My husband and I live in southern CA ... about 1 1/2 hours northeast of LA. We are looking for 1 or 2 companion birds for our 26 year old female amazon ... perhaps we could help this gentleman out?

Have you heard from him?

Thanks!

No news. He said he would let us know either way, but it has been quiet on this end.
