Need to rehome our 8 yr old Male Goffin Columbus, OHIO

Unfortunitly we have to give up our male goffin due to relocating. He is 8 years old and we have had him for 4 years. He is a great bird. Gets along with everyone (male and female) and kids. We have 6 of them so he gets his fare share of them. He loves to sit with you on the couch and watch tv and will dance on command. He will also do other tricks. His speech is ok but not something we ever worked on real hard. He will scream a little when he wants attention but if we can not give it to him we just cover his cage and he will quit. We will be giving you all his toys and perches.

We will insist on seeing the location. He is an easy bird to deal with even for someone that is new to birds. We would prefer to have him go to someone that has some experience though. There are lots of great books you can get at the library to help understand birds and how the interact. He will take a shower with out much fuss but does not like being washed in the sink. He LOVES LOVES LOVES eating what ever you have for dinner.

Yes there is a rehoming fee and again the cage on wheels which measures 30w x 24d x 40" tall is included with him. That is the actual living space. With the top play area and bottom storage it stands over 7' tall. We also have a free standing tree stand that is over 6' tall we will include as he likes to sit on it and watch tv. In one of the pictures below he is sitting on it.

Serious inquiries only...again we will not just give him to anyone for any amount of money..

We have posted for the past month because we have rejected several people that wanted him including YOU. Now you are upset because we did not find you to provide an acceptable home. He would never get use to the trash and the smells of your place. You have never met Polly so you have no idea what his personallity is. The rehoming fee is very cheap for Polly alone and even a better deal for someone that wants or needs his cage and all accessories. If you are associated with Polly then I doubt we trust you to care of Polly either.

Lori was just warning us - and if this isn't a scam and you *have* sincerely been trying to find her a home, then you've obviously already rejected people who would give her great homes if you rejected Lori, because she's got lots of experience with birds and i'm sure she would have give Polly a great home if she were able to. it sounds like your more concerned with getting your money back than finding her a good home..

Apparently, it's someone trying to fost his/her problem off on someone else (sucker?) while getting as much of their money back as possible.

They probably WILL find someone that wants to "rescue" it...sigh. Personally, I would leave it alone (and when they see that they aren't going to get any money, they would probably place it in a real rescue organization. This would be preferrable, because then the bird can be worked with before being placed. That plucking issue bothers me.

It's kind of funny that this woman has no idea how many people she just alienated when she went on attack of one of our own.
