May I suggest you let your avian vet know. If any one would know if there are good fid owners out there vets do. Your AV may know someone that has been talking about getting more birds.

This just breaks my heart. I would give your birds a loving forever home if I could just get to them. I am in Ontario and I don't have a reliable car to travel to New York. I googled it and it is a 6 and half hour drive. I would do it in a heart beat if I had the transportation. I wish there were more options for transporting birds and other animals. I wish you the best of luck finding a great home for your flock.

Kali, thank you for the thought! Sweetnlow, thank you for your kind thoughts. I also wish there were a safe, reliable way of transporting birds that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.
Update~ I haven't been on here in a while. If you're interested in our birds, please email me at betweenthelens@optonline.net as I check my email on a daily basis. The birds and their cages are still free to a good home. I'm hoping for a person who wants them and who also possesses geographic desirability. Again, we're in New York's Mid-Hudson River Valley in Hyde Park, between Poughkeepsie and Rhinebeck. Thank you.
