Please help me find a loving home for my TAG in NJ
Hi, this is one of the hardest things I'll ever do, but I know it is for the best. I have a 1-year old Timneh African Grey named Martin, and I have had him since he was only 3 months old. He is adorable, loving, affectionate, and healthy. He is a very happy bird, and I have been taking good care of him for the past year. He is starting to speak a lot, loves eating his fruits and veggies, and spends all of his time out of the cage when I am home.
That being said, I need to find him a home that can provide for him as I have. I don't want to get into the details too much, but I have lost my home and I do not have the means to care for him anymore. It really breaks my heart, as I love him like a child or family member, but I don't have the money to care for him anymore, nor do I have an appropriate place for him to live, and he deserves so much better than what I can provide for him now. I have a large cage for him as well as some toys, which of course I would send him off with. He would need to be picked up, as I have no means of transporting him. I'm located in Northern New Jersey. I am asking for a $300 rehoming fee- I want to be sure he goes to the right home where he will be provided for. If anyone is interested, please email me at ................... I have plenty of pics and videos of him, and would be more than happy to answer any further questions. I just want to make sure he goes to someone who will love him like I do. Thanks for your time, Dana (beastiephile) Last edited by Lisa B; 09-13-2009 at 02:52 AM. |

Dana, I spoke with Kathie and explained your story. She would very much like to help you and asked me to give you her email address so you could talk. it is : email address removed by moderator please give her a call. She has many contacts and is very careful in her bird placement. Judy

I would recommend placement directly into an adoptive home if you can - easier transition for the bird and less chance of quarantine/cross contamination/disease transmission issues. Additionally, the adoptive family would obvioulsy pay less for the bird and might be inclined to spend money on the vetting instead. This is a more ideal option.
