Please help me find a loving home for my TAG in NJ

Hi, this is one of the hardest things I'll ever do, but I know it is for the best. I have a 1-year old Timneh African Grey named Martin, and I have had him since he was only 3 months old. He is adorable, loving, affectionate, and healthy. He is a very happy bird, and I have been taking good care of him for the past year. He is starting to speak a lot, loves eating his fruits and veggies, and spends all of his time out of the cage when I am home.

That being said, I need to find him a home that can provide for him as I have. I don't want to get into the details too much, but I have lost my home and I do not have the means to care for him anymore. It really breaks my heart, as I love him like a child or family member, but I don't have the money to care for him anymore, nor do I have an appropriate place for him to live, and he deserves so much better than what I can provide for him now.

I have a large cage for him as well as some toys, which of course I would send him off with. He would need to be picked up, as I have no means of transporting him. I'm located in Northern New Jersey. I am asking for a $300 rehoming fee- I want to be sure he goes to the right home where he will be provided for.

If anyone is interested, please email me at ................... I have plenty of pics and videos of him, and would be more than happy to answer any further questions. I just want to make sure he goes to someone who will love him like I do.

Thanks for your time,
Dana (beastiephile)

PLease help me find a loving home for my Tag

You might want to consider placing your bird at Bird Paradise store. They really handle their consignment birds great. They work with them and they get great care. They are very careful who they place the birds with and offer continuos care and advice to the new owners. You get paid when your bird is sold. I would imagine a TAG would go pretty quickly. I know the owner. It is in Burlington, NJ.

Thanks for the replies. I actually got him from Bird Paradise, as a baby. I would consider bringing him back there. And I will be responding to your email Lisa, thanks.

I would recommend placement directly into an adoptive home if you can - easier transition for the bird and less chance of quarantine/cross contamination/disease transmission issues. Additionally, the adoptive family would obvioulsy pay less for the bird and might be inclined to spend money on the vetting instead. This is a more ideal option.
