Several birds for re-homing around Toronto/GTA
I have three different contacts each trying to find homes for parrots in Toronto.
#1) Young senegal(under a year)-the owners had a cockatiel and it flew away. They didn't have a whole lot of hope of finding it, and they'd wanted a larger parrot for some time. They bought the senegal and within a week they had their cockatiel returned to them. Theiy'd love to keep the two but the senegal keeps charging the 'tiel and they're worried about him getting hurt. I don't think they have a set fee for the bird, it's negotiable.
#2) Quaker(about 5)-a co-worker of mine is trying to find a home for his quaker. He has to move back in with his mum for a couple of years and she will not let the bird live in her place. He's good with men and seems to be good with women too, but has lived with two guys for a while now. He can be a bit loud(hey, it's a quaker!). He comes with his cage and all his toys. They're asking a minimal adoption fee to make sure people are serious.
#3)Severe macaw-bubbles(under 5)-The owner has a new baby and bubbles is not getting the attention she needs. Bubbles has mostly been worked with by women and would probably prefer a woman keeper. She is a DNA sexed female. Bubbles can be aggressive with other birds and is kind of nippy sometimes. A bird-experienced home would definitely be best for her. Adoption fee is negotiable.
If anyone is interested in any of these birds, please contact me with your e-mail address, name, which bird you're interested in and the area you live in and I can pass that along for the people's consideration.
Thanks!
