Anna there's a few Aussies here who would be on your doorstep in a flash if we could. I applaud you for what you are doing for these guys. I'm shocked to see so many macaws in your programme. I guess it just doesn't happen here, 'toos yes but seeing a macaw rehomed here is very rare.

I'm definately keeping them all in my thoughts and hoping they all get great homes. Its so terrible that some owners can neglect these beautiful creatures; ignorance is still abuse in my opinion. I also feel bad that the other owners had to give up their flockmembers also...they must have been so upset.
I think it's wonderful what you do! If I had more bird experience, I would gladly drive to Texas to adopt a sweetie! I wish them all luck in finding forever flocks, forever homes.

Wonderful work as always! Though I cannot adopt them, I feel a special pleasure in donating when I can to you. I hope others who cannot adopt might consider donating to you as well! Even a fun toy brings joy to one of these beauties!

Thank you so much! It feels really good to know that others are out there that see my work as something other than some silly hobby. I struggle to give myself credit for a lot of long hours I put into caring for the birds and keeping the rescue going. Sometimes I feel that because I don't pay myself, maybe it isn't a real job. Whenever we get donations, it reminds me that this IS a real job and it is important - important enough to get others involved and important enough to put all the effort I have into it. There are so many birds that need help and their numbers drastically outweigh the numbers of people willing to rescue them, listen to them, care for them, and take the time to point them in the right path. I am really proud of what we have going here and really content that I am making a difference in the world, even if I am that crazy bird lady. Thank you again.

If only you were closer! I'd commit to Sabby and Raphael or Lucy in a heartbeat. I've been looking for an african grey for so long...
