Great job folks. $205 to go! I will give an update on Rainbow when Asulli calls me to let me know she is safe. Please give her an entusiastic thank you for her willingness to go pick up the macaw!

Yeah Asulli! I'm sure she'll have alot to tell about Rainbow's rescue! Bird rescue seems always to be an, uh- *experience* of some kind! Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Anna: I can give $25 if that will help. Should I just use the donate link on your website?

On that note...

I just want to make a reminder to those who helped to assist in this rescue. Please feel free to share your experience but also keep in mind that you are representing Macaw & Cockatoo Rescue of NM by your service. Please consider that this is a public forum and can be viewed by all. Participating in rescue is not usually a pretty affair and you may have seen or felt things you wish you had not. If you chose to share those things, please try to use as much tact as possible as it is not our goal to develop a reputation of bad-mouthing anyone be it client we rescued from or client we adopted to. We are here to help both sides. Thanks.

That would be fantastic. Yes - the donate button on our website will allow you to donate to us directly and we will put your funds toward Rainbow. Thanks a bunch everyone. It really touches me how people can come together for things like this. Rainbow will never know how blessed she has been by all of you - though I will try to tell her!

Just sent some money, hope everything works out. By the way, your Jardine Koko is beautiful.

Thank you for the help and also for the complement about Koko. I would be happy to bring her to Houston for you to meet, except that she does not travel well and I don't want her to get hurt. As it is, she has a metal rod in her leg and I'm always afraid she will hurt herself further when she spooks. she is an extra beautiful Jardine, very sweet personality.
