Raptors in Hyde Park!

At Roosevelt Farm Day here in Hyde Park, NY, there was a raptor presentation. The gentleman brought his red-tailed hawk, turkey vulture, great horned owl, and peregrine falcon. It was a fascinating talk and the birds were just breathtakingly beautiful. I hope you enjoy the photos.

They're all magnificent creatures, aren't they? When I lived in New York City, I was a volunteer with the peregrine release program. They raised babies on the tops of skyscrapers in hopes that they would remain in the city when they fledged.

Here in Colorado, I can see some of those predators in the wild just a few miles from my home.

I know of a woman in north jersey, tho I think Hyde park would be about an hour drive from where she is at to go by you.

Star and Tweet52, thank you so much for the lovely compliments! So glad you enjoyed the photos!

Lisa-The gentleman who gave the talk on the raptors was Bill Robinson and this is a link to his website:

Robinson's Wildlife Lectures

He was fantastic and had an amazing rapport with these wild birds of prey.
