Some of the birds i work with at the zoo :)
here are just SOME of the guys i get to work with :) its a wonderful privledge for me to have :)
'![]() ![]() here are two of the turkey vultures i told you about :) the one on the right is snowball, she/he takes mice from my hand :) ![]() here is the black vulture. shes a rehab bird, has one wing amputated :( ![]() ![]() ![]() andean condors...we estimate the male weighs at least 40lbs, female is prob about 33-36. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() these are some of this year's baby roseate spoonbills, which i got to help raise :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the big grey guys are called screamers. they are pretty rare apparently :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this is kia, our harpy :) we have started to target train her :) ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ok, so working at the ZOO is quite a dream job.... Not just for the birds either. It would be interesting to have a hawk me thinks. (<<-- you have to say that last sentence in a Yoda - star wars - voice, as obviously my mind was thinking in his sentence structure). Train it to hunt for you, etc.... That would be nice.
I'd never have the patience for something like that. I'm impressed for people who have those types of animals tho. I find it wonderful that mother nature produces some ugly birds and such exotic birds. I'm jeleous. Please let me know when you quit (if ever) so that I can put in my resume' and steal your job :)
