Special Visitor

This little guy stopped by for a visit about an hour ago. I was on my way out the patio door to take the trash out when I noticed him sitting on the fence- about 15 feet from me. I left the door half open and ran to get my camera. He actually let me get about 5 feet from him before a car alarm made him take off. So so so cute!! He looked to weight about as much as Ollie. Not as long, but bulkier. What a doll! This is the first owl I've ever seen in Manhattan, and the closest I've gotten to one ever!

Oh pretty! I got to hold a baby white owl not to long ago, I think they are cool!

We used to have an avian wildlife rehab come in to my bird club with different species of birds that could not be re released into the wild because of injuries. She has a little owl just like that one. He was adorable....and those eyes!!!!
