Interesting finds

In an attempt to identify some of the birds, (especially that superloud black & white crow), that I've seen on the Africam, I came across these sites .....

Here's a guy that raises & breeds the Corvus Albus otherwise known as African Pied Crows.

This site has lots of pics of African animals & birds.

...including this interesting shot of an African Harrier Hawk surrounded by Pied Crows. (If ya don't see all three crows at first, pass your cursor over the pic and they should become highlighted (Which is a cool feature of that site IMO.)

I was wandering around looking at birds too
& saw that Australia has a black & White Crow also - but its face is quite delicate compared to American Crows. I've seen Black & White [magpies? or crows] around the Eiffel tower - it was many years ago so i can't be sure which.

Nice shots tho. I know a lot of Americans are suffering from too many Crows at the moment but i still like them - fascinating.

I hear of people here who poison the crows because they "make too much noise". I've also heard reports on the television of the same. If I had any proof of anyone in particular I'd be turning them in to RSPCA immediately.

Some of the black and white birds here include the butcherbirds, magpies, currawongs, ravens, crows, and Choughs. I have a difficult time identifying which is which without a book nearby!

I don't know if they're legal in the US anymore. I remember hearing about a proposed change in the law because they were worried about possible escapes & starting murders(flocks) of a new "invasive" species.
