The other day I saw a few Baltimore orioles, one of which I first thought was a towhee. At the time I thought it was rather odd that the Baltimore Oriole would be so dark, but didn't think much of it (was eating lunch at the time).
I just read your post and realized I'd never seen an Orchard oriole, so I looked it up.... And that unusually dark Baltimore suddenly turned into an orchard oriole. I don't have a pic either, but I'm glad I stumbled across your post in my spring cold-induced insomniac adventures in the middle of the night.
