A Dove

This beautiful bird was visiting our deck the other day. We haven't put seed out lately in an attempt to clear out the squirrels until we figure out a way to keep them away from the seed so the only birds that are visiting are doves, who peck at the seeds on the ground, and nuthatches, who seem most adept at getting the last bit of seed out of the feeders. Perhaps it's the nuthatches' long pointy beaks that aid in this feat. Thanks for looking

That is a beautiful dove, reminds me of the one my dad found it was a baby but it could fly. I put it in a tree in hopes it would fly to a safe place. Don't know what happend to it.

Thanks for looking, Sowilu. I hope the rescued dove made it. All we can do is act with the right intent and hope for the best.
