I doubt it's someones escaped pet! As I've seen that same bird species up here! Probably a bird better known as an invasive species like the Europian Starling...

Glad though that someone was able to correctly identify it, especially considering the book I have is of Western US birds! (no wonder it wasn't in there! ). If I could find the pictures I took of the one up here, I'd share em with you... however I have 3 harddrives, and it'd be on two of them... and I have so many pics I wouldn't know where to begin! But if I come across them, I'll share!

i thought it looked like a song sparrow...and the other is a black capped chickadee (sp)or it sure looks like what is on my clock....i have both birds on my clock
