Why are they stupid? Do you have photos? I'd love to see them. Are they the only wildlife that dig up your yard and chase your ducks? I bet you have some feral cats and other critters that are more annoying!

Our Galah used to scare the cats away lol, she used to scream and scare them. The scrub turkey used to at first hang around with them and that was fine but then it used to start chasing and attacking them. I dont have any pics but here is a address to an image

http://geoffhill.com.au/uploads/imag...7;20turkey.jpg

But if you type scrub turkey into google images thats what they are

Thanks I think they are pretty neat. Those pics were all taken last year. Actually the one where the gobbler is in strut was in the spring. We had a late snow.

Ours come to the bird feeders along with the deer. It's maybe 20 ft from the back porch. We've had turkey actually land on the banister of the porch and even sat on the roof of the house. LOL I can sit on the porch and watch them. They aren't afraid of me. (at least last years flock wasn't)

I was worried about them, we haven't seen them since Oct. 4 days ago I looked out the window and there were at least 35 of them. Buggers are hard to count, they don't sit still. I did see 3 gobblers among ALL those girls.

Lol arent those boys lucky lol. Although they cant really cheat on their partner cos if there are all those girls, they are bound to gossip and it would get out lol. Then the boys would get a good butt kicking lol.
Yeah I still like your ones better than the Aussie ones. And you get deer!! NOT FAIR!! We get koala's and wallabies/kangaroos or bandicoots....boring.

Oh I would LOVE to have a Koala in my yard. I think they are just the CUTEST things. Wallabies, and Kangaroos are cute too. I don't know what a Bandicoot is? We have a bird here in the U.S. called a Coot.

We get lots of deer. Our whole back yard is lined with woods. We feed them in the winter time, so they come here quite a bit. We enjoy watching them.

Koalas are boring...the other's are ok. Koala's just sleep, they are the most overrated creature lol. bandicoots are like a giant rat lol but a bit different, they dig up the worms. We have brushtailed possums live in our roof. I wish we had deer. My mum gets Emu's around her house. Koala's are really not like what people think they are. People think cute and cuddly. They SCRATCH and BITE!!!! and they eat and sleep. And the noise they make...WOAH!! They sound like a wild pig!!! Don't get me wrong they arent demon creatures like tasmanian devils or anything, they are cute but dont ever try and pick one up. You would probably come out better trying to pick up a snake lol.

Sorry for the double post. My computer (or the site) was being weird last night.

I've read that Koala's aren't what people "think" they are. That they can be mean. It's a wild animal.

Bandicoot = big rat Ewwwwww!!!

The grass is always greener! At least you have grass right now; all I have is snow.
