A Strange Blackbird?

I live in Kerry, Ireland, and need a little help identifying a bird.

I'm sorry that I have no photos (I don't own a camera yet), but I'll describe it to the best of my abilities.

It looks and acts just as a Blackbird, but instead of a bright yellow bill and eye-rings, it has the most brilliant orange-red bill/eye-rings. I'm wondering if it's a different variety of Blackbird, maybe....?

It's just confused me a little to see, as I've never seen anything quite like it.
