Bald Eagles and Ravens
In my backyard we have a bald eagles nest. Will try to get a pic of it. Bald eagles are a normal sight here, though I guess in the rest of the states they are still pretty scarce.
Ravens. My favorite bird. They mimic sounds, have complex family structures, eat whatever I give them, and are beautiful to boot! As soon as I can wade through the snow in the back yard I will post some pictures.

We have Ravens here that make sounds like other animals. One Raven that I know meows like a cat. No, I am not kidding!
They are HUGE, if crows are like cockatiels than ravens are like large Cockatoos. They like to hang out at the local McDonalds to beg for food. My favorite sound that they make is a "Quark" say that about 10 times really fast and you get the idea. They are neat. I recently read some testing done on some ravens and the test was this (I have several books on Ravens written by scientists who have studied them): They withheld water from the raven, making it really thirsty. They then present the raven with a jug of water. The opening is too small to get the whole head into. Water level is too low to drink from. So the raven had a lot of things at his disposal (outside kennel type area). The raven took pebbles to raise the level of the water so that he could drink. Smarty pants.
