There are a pair of mourning doves

nesting in my area.The male has been here for a few years because he has this really warped call, like he has a sore throat or an injury perhaps that made his call very raspy and almost sounds like a crow.Well now his mate is using the same sound to call back(as well as the traditional cooing sound)This is really cool.
I wonder if the babies will pick up this too?
