Wild cockatoos in Sydney

This is a short clip of some wild cockatoos I saw when I went to visit my friend in Sydney last month. Sorry it is so jerky, they were pretty far away in the gum trees, I had to use the maximum zoom. It is 5.3 MB, so you will need broadband to download it.

Tiki, I just watched your video. That's was great. I couldn't imagine waking up to those in my back yard. I would love it but I have a feeling my neighbors wouldn't. Just wait til they hear Rico out back this summer. lol My neighbors pretty much all ready know I have Rico.
A couple down the block from me have an Umbrella too. They've had theirs for 13 years. Last summer, before I bought Rico, my husband and I were out back eating dinner. I kept hearing this loud scream. Scared me. I kept running outside the fence and was looking for a hurt, large bird in the trees. I've never heard a sound like that before. My other neighbor came out and we both kept looking around the neighborhood for a hurt bird in the trees. Come to find out it was the umbrella the next block down. Holy crap.
My husband just came downstairs and I had him watch your video. He got tears in his eyes and asked, "Is that what our baby Rico would look like if he was free?"....guilt.
Thanks so much for sharing...simply beautiful.

That lot still for sale next to yours?

Actually yes it is, Graeh! I'll have to get a good clip of the rainbow lorikeets in my umbrella tree, that would have you on the next plane!

Lynda, it should automatically open in Windows Media Player, that is weird if it isn't. Maybe you need to set WMP as your default player?

I am glad y'all are enjoying the clip in spite of technical difficulties!

Oh Tiki - thanks so much for sharing that video - I loved it! They sounded just like my little Merlin - oh, be still my heart. Yes, I think a move might be in my future as well!
