More wild quakers

I went and checked my wild quakers today. No babies fledging yet but I know they are in there. They had a guard posted who kept an eye on me. Every once in a while I might hear faint cheeping and the guard would rush inside and it would become quiet again. I guess with babies in the nest I have become a predator. No one flew in, out or anywhere around the nest while I was there.
They are trying not to draw attention to their nests.

In the one pic of the nest entrance if you look carefully you can see a quaker peeping back out at me.

Thank you Laurie and Graeh.
They are really fun to watch Graeh. Especially when they are building a nest.
They work their little hiney off collecting twigs, stripping them and weaving them into the structure. The end product incredible. The nest has many rooms, each containing a pair of quakers and their nest.

Come to my house Tiki and you will get to hold wild quakers, well at least formerly wild LOL My two quaker babies are so sweet and funny. They are a laugh a minute. I will have to post the pictures of them playing quaker ball.

Thanks sillyquakers,
I have actually got to raise wild quaker babies now as you see from the above.
They are wonderful little creatures. Wild quakers are numerous in Florida along with other wild parrots. You can also find wild quakers in New Jersey, New York and Chicago though not so widespread as Florida. There are even reports of quakers nest in Washington state. Check out www.quakerville.com for some good wild quaker pics and info
