Spring is close!

I saw a sparrow checking out the birdhouse AND I saw them actually nest building in my barn. Carrying twigs and hay up into the rafters. I also saw two Turkey vultures already back the other day. Just waiting now to see the Killdeer - they should be around very soon if not already

I saw a dozen circling turkey vultures up near Mt Vernon last week. While waiting for the boy to get his haircut I saw birds building a nest in the hair place and two signs down another pair were building.

Yup, spring is coming.

I'm thinking we got at least one more good, heavy snow storm coming and another two feet of snow (not all at once) before it warms up.

Turkey vultures aren't back here yet, but then I'm far up north. But I did see the first red-winged blackbird today. :)

And TONS of bald eagles. "They're all like, WOO-HOO! It's nesting time!"

-50 the other morning with the wind..... doesn't matter if it was celcius or farenheight, that's cold. On the other hand it's supposed to reach -2 (celcius) on Tuesday!
